Macclesfield Unitarians

Birth

“We want to rejoice at this birth; we want to make and invite commitments to care for our baby –
but do we have to make religious promises we cannot keep?”
No you don’t! – not in a Unitarian Welcoming Ceremony
We do not believe in imposing any words or beliefs on to anyone; each one of us is unique, and each one of us is free to use our own hearts and minds in deciding what is true for us.
One of the greatest truths and priorities in life is life itself, and one of the greatest responsibilities in life is caring for life
We want to help you to celebrate the life of your child in your own way and with your own words; and we want to help you, your family, and your friends, to make genuine commitments to the future of that life. We aim to create with you a ceremony that speaks of your own love and personality, which will feel genuine, joyful . . . and real.
Together we can create a ceremony that will feel only right and natural.
